RCM offers tailored and specialist education and care to over 70 young people with learning difficulties, disabilities, complex health needs and Autism for students aged 19 to 25.

**What we’re looking for**:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience with students who have Autism and other learning difficulties.
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent Post-16 tutor qualification.
- Leadership experience, including managing a team of teaching and support staff within an educational setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in Autism education, including knowledge of sensory impairments, communication difficulties, and differentiated curriculum development.
- Proven ability to implement and evaluate teaching strategies that support the diverse needs of students with Autism.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on best practices in Autism education.
- A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving, with a strong commitment to the welfare and development of students with complex disabilities.

**Advanced Practitioner Role Outline**:
No two days will be the same with Seashell, you’ll help to promote the intellectual, physical and personal development of students in college.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing self-assessment and quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Coordinating the planning, design, and delivery of programs tailored to the needs of students with Autism, incorporating evidence-based strategies and interventions.
- Leading the development of curriculum content and teaching materials that promote inclusive learning environments for students with Autism.
- Providing oversight and management of course records and associated systems to ensure accuracy and completeness of student data.
- Supporting the Deputy Head of College in managing a team of teaching and support staff within Autism-specific groups, including providing guidance and support for professional development.
- Conducting regular lesson observations and provide constructive feedback to staff, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies for development.
- Coaching and mentor new members of staff to enhance their understanding and delivery of Autism education, promoting continuous learning and development.
- Developing and deliver regular updates and training sessions for staff on the latest developments in Autism education, sharing best practices and innovative teaching techniques.
- Collaborating with the Multidisciplinary Team to create Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and ensure alignment with Individual Learner Schedules (ILS) for students with Autism.
- Actively participating in the Self-Assessment Process, contributing to the ongoing improvement of teaching and learning practices within the college.
