We are offering a two 12 month (extendable) Registrar level posts in General Surgery at South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust. We are able to support registrars with an interest in Benign Upper GI Surgery or Colorectal Surgery. Training may also be available in thyroid/parathyroid surgery and general surgery of childhood. Within the department training is available in laparoscopic and open approaches to hernia repair.

Warwickshire is accessible from many nearby cities including Birmingham, Leicester, Northampton, Oxford and Worcestershire.

This is a full-time post with a 1 in 8, 24 hour non
- resident on call (with a possibility or shortly changing to a resident on call; days and nights). Weekly sessions are planned in 8 week blocks to endeavour to meet the training needs of all registrars, an example is shown below. Each week one registrar covers the post take ward round and afternoon CEPOD lists from Tuesday to Friday allowing for continuity of care for patients and training for the registrar.
