London, United Kingdom Service Care Full time

A large, London based housing association is recruiting for an experienced Independent Living Officer to provide a tenancy management and sustainment service to their older tenants, living in supported housing services across Lewisham.

**The Role**
In this Independent Living Officer role, you will ensure that effective, customer focused housing management services are provided to older tenants in the borough living in sheltered housing schemes, so that they are able to sustain their tenancies, promoting independence and liaising with third parties where required.
This will include the following tasks and responsibilities:

- Provide residents with day to day housing advice, sign posting to relevant services and making appropriate referrals to help them sustain their tenancy
- Undertake needs and risks assessments of potential new tenants
- Undertake accompanied viewings, sign ups and settling in visits of new tenants
- Provide new tenants with information on the Linkline Telecare system
- Ensure tenants are kept fully informed about issues that affect them
- Provide immediate support to victims of all types of anti-social behaviour

To be considered for this Independent Living Officer role it is essential that you have previous experience working within tenancy sustainment and housing management, ideally with experience of working with older service users.
**Due to the vulnerable nature of service users you will be working with in this role, you will require a fully enhanced DBS for this role**

**The Contract**
This is a full time role, working 36 hours per week, 9:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday. The contract will run until the end of March 2023 with a chance of extension or becoming permanent beyond this.

**Referral Bonus**
If this Independent Living Officer role is not suitable for yourself, but you know someone who may be interested, please pass on their details, or forward these details to them.
If they are successful in applying, you will receive a £250 referral bonus upon completion of an initial probationary period.

**How to Apply**
Also, if this Independent Living Officer role doesn't interest you, but you are looking for new opportunities, please still get in touch as I cover all housing-related vacancies across the region.
