12-month contract to manage the payroll for 385+ staff and be involved in a new payroll system implementation
**Your new company
**This Colchester-based organisation with offices across the East are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to take responsibility of the payroll and play a key role in implementing a new payroll system (iTrent) in a 12-month fixed term contract.
**Your new role**
In the role of Interim Payroll Manager you will initially take responsibility of managing the weekly & monthly payroll for approx. 385 staff who process their hours via a rostering system to capture contracted hours as well as overtime hours and enhanced ratesfor agreed shifts etc. This will involve transferring the data to the payroll system, validating the hours and preparing the payroll payment as well as deducting statutory payments. Therefore this is a hands-on interim role supported by the wider finance teamand you will also be involved in reviewing processes & controls in preparation of a payroll system upgrade and long-term plans for iTrent.
**What you'll need to succeed**
You will be an experienced Payroll Supervisor / Payroll Manager or indeed an highly skilled Senior Payroll professional who can take the lead on processing the payroll and be involved in improving the payroll process. Ideally the organisation would like youto be office-based so you are close to all involved but they will consider hybrid-working therefore they are flexible on location provided you can attend meetings in Colchester Essex.
