**Purchasing and Scheduling Manager**
Temporary - 18month contract
**Salary £35,000 per year**
Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 5.00pm Friday 8.30am - 2.00pm
Our well-established client based in Tamworth are looking for a Purchasing & Scheduling Manager supporting join their team on a Temporary basis due to maternity cover, you will also be required to cover Sales Order Processing and Logistics administration. Thisis an excellent opportunity for applicants with previous experience within purchasing and logistics,**Duties for the roles to include**:
Sales Order Processing and Logistics administrator
- Preparing and Sending quotes to customers as directed by the Sales Team.
- Raise Sales orders from quotes for won orders, Plan Works Orders and raise Production travellers (job pockets).
- Book the Sales Orders out and Despatch via courier DHL, TNT, FEDEX etc.
- Arrange freight of machinery via road, sea and air.
- Knowledge freight Inco terms would be useful and EUR1 and C of O - Ezcert.
- Create Invoices for despatches
- Creation of despatch paperwork including Chamber manuals, Bill of Lading, packing lists etc
- Arrange packing of finished machinery.
- Process Credit card payments for Spares orders.
- Knowledge of SAGE accounts and Sage Manufacturing would be useful but not essential.
Purchasing and Scheduling Manager
- Placing routine Purchase Orders using Sage Accounts or calling off from stock already placed orders
- Demand for ordering comes from Kanban card system and MRP runs
- Booking out Works Orders for production
- Creation of Production Traveller documentation (job pockets, labels, drawings etc).
- Managing stocks/inventory inc a month end stock report.
- Issuing of Weekly roll over schedules to suppliers for just in time deliveries
- Completion of works orders.
- Chase overdue orders and shortages with suppliers
- Generating Weekly shortage report using MRP system
- Creation of despatch paperwork including Chamber manuals, Bill of Lading, packing lists etc
- Resourcing with the aid of the technical department any new products.
- Knowledge of SAGE accounts and Sage Manufacturing would be useful but not essential.
- General Admin duties related to Stock Control and Purchasing
