**The Role**

Reporting to the Head of Marketing the role is split approximately 60/40 between Exhibitions & Communication.

They will coordinate all Exhibitions for Burton McCall including 1000 Mile, which includes all trade, consumer and wholesaler shows. There are approximately 25 events a year.

They will also be responsible for managing the communications of our brands in the traditional channels whilst working alongside the Communications Officer responsible for the digital channels.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Exhibitions Coordinator role**
- Manage the full end-to-end process for each show including the design, stand build, set up and breakdown.
- Use project management skills to run several concurrent events.
- Manage the exhibition stand builders and booking companies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Organise the logistics for individual shows and events.
- Manage the exhibitions budget and identify budget efficiencies from all aspects where possible.
- Manage the exhibition and events PR. Identify and deliver additional sponsorship opportunities.
- Co-ordinate staff accommodation and rota for events and exhibitions.
- Coordinate stock control for all events.
- Identify new opportunities for exhibitions, and drive innovation in stand design and creative look.
- Carry out any other duties which may be requested from time to time by the Head of Marketing.

**Communications officer role**
- Working in conjunction with the Communications Officer to obtain maximum press exposure across varied product sectors in consumer and trade titles for the Burton McCall brand portfolio.
- Writing press releases and copy for publicity materials including advertorials, exhibition guides, directories, business communications, internal memos and other.
- Work together with the Communications Officer to maintain and manage the PR budget.
- Work alongside the Brand Managers to plan annual PR and sponsorship activity for brands ensuring it is in line with the marketing strategy and company objectives.
- Evaluate activity and provide regular reports and communicate these to our Brand Owners.
- Launching new products and brands to the media face-to-face, at trade and consumer exhibitions and press meetings. This will require strong presentation skills as well as confident and clear communication skills.
- Organising press appointments at exhibitions and managing busy press appointment schedules.
- Creating press packs and ensuring we have optimum event exposure at all events
- Maintain existing relationships with key media and build new contacts.
- Recommend, build, and manage sponsorship opportunities.
- Seek out opportunities for competition placements in printed press.
- Circulating key press coverage to the sales team, marketing department and customer services.
- Administrative duties to ensure smooth running of PR activity to include maintaining and building PR database, maintaining sample requisition log, ordering, sending out samples and regularly updating the PR product placement database.
- To carry out any other job-related duties which may be requested from time to time by Head of Marketing.

**Key Skills and attributes**
- 2 Years relevant experience or educated to graduate level.
- Able to demonstrate working experience in the key responsibilities.
- Strong Microsoft Skills.
- Must hold a full driving experience.
