Protocol Education is currently seeking applicants with backgrounds in Mental Health, Psychology, Care Work, etc, to work as a Mental Health (SEMH) Teaching Assistant, at a Secondary school in Stockport, Manchester (United Kingdom).

In this highly rewarding role, You will be supporting vulnerable children with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs, such as Anxiety/Depression/complex learning disabilities, or being identified as having a statement of an educational need or an Educational, health and care plan (EHCP). The impact of COVID-19 on young children's mental health has significantly increased, resulting in a higher demand for support across schools in the UK.

This role is perfect for applicants who are seeking a position working in the likes of Child Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, or to be a Educational Psychologist.

**Key requirements**
- Working Monday-Friday (term-time only)
- Hours of between typically 8:30am-3:30pm
- Have excellent communication skills
- Have a passion for supporting children
- Ideally be educated to degree level/equivalent

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
