**About the role**

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic Policy Assistant to support the Leader’s Office.
The role will include assisting the Head of the Leader’s Office in providing policy advice.

**About you**

You will need to have a good understanding of local government and the challenges it faces, and an interest in policy development.

You will also assist other staff members within the office to provide administrative support to the office of the Leader of the Council. Great organisational and communication skills are essential. You will also need to have good analytical skills and be comfortable working on a range of different projects concurrently.
