Akari Care are recruiting for a Head of IT to join our team in Leeds. Akari Care provide residential and nursing care services to the elderly operating 32 homes nationally.

**Key Responsibilities**
- To lead all IT related activities across Akari Care Group, delivering the agreed IT strategy in line with commercial objectives
- Effectively manage IT within the business and outsourced IT support and systems vendors, ensuring systems and services are robust and fit for purpose, including:

- Designing and implementing ITIL based processes for management of IT service
- Keeping vendors accountable for service levels
- Ensuring systems and services are available
- Regular reporting to the IT Steering Group and Senior Management team on IT project status and KPIs
- Line management of existing internal IT team of team of three
- Taking the lead role in management of group operational, quality, compliance, and financial systems, including:

- Working with key stakeholders in the business to identify requirements and project scope for systems improvement with a key focus on eliminating manual effort and reducing opportunities to introduce error
- Create systems and process models, specifications, diagrams and charts to provide information and guidance to internal and external stakeholders
- Identifying, recommending and implementing third party systems as appropriate to meet business objectives
- Collaborating with operations and finance teams to ensure ongoing alignment and driving continual systems and service improvement
- Managing the prioritisation of development for both third party and in house developed information systems and solutions
- Lead and participate in all phases of systems and process improvement processes
- Participate in developing appropriate end user training materials and system documentation
- Management of project delivery into the business, including pilot phases, feedback integration and business benefit measurement
- Taking the lead role in building appropriate and high-quality business intelligence and management information systems, including:

- Working with key stakeholders in the business to identify requirements for reporting and dashboards
- Working with internal team and appropriate third party suppliers to ensure the delivery of real time information dashboards and periodic reporting
- Taking the lead role in business process improvement, including:

- Working with key stakeholders in the business to identify problematic and time-consuming processes
- Working with appropriate third party suppliers to scope and deliver efficient process improvements through information systems
- Ensuring alignment with business strategy at all times
- Effectively managing change for all systems and process changes, ensuring all change is well understood, tested and documented prior to implementation
- Manage the business SharePoint environment ensuring structure is appropriate and information accessible
- Take ownership of information security in IT systems ensuring sensitive and personal data is well protected and systems access privileges are appropriate and managed
- Participate in wider business information governance strategy
- Take ownership of IT budget ensuring systems are cost effective and vendors are appropriately challenged on costs
- Assume responsibility for information governance and GDPR as the Company's Data Protection Officer
- Take ownership of IT disaster recovery strategy developing appropriate plans for foreseeable scenarios such as system, network and building outage
- Contribute to wider business continuity strategy
- Provision of IT expertise in cross functional strategic and operational projects

**Desirable experience**
- Healthcare (or similar) experience
- Budget management
- Technical background with good understanding of systems, networks, end user devices
- Experience working with reporting / BI tools
- Office 365 exper
