Wilson James are currently recruiting for a Ramp Agent to join us at Gatwick Airport.

Working as a member of the Passengers Services team, you will drive the company's ambi-lifts or minibuses on the airfield to the aircraft to transfer passengers with reduced mobility or from the aircraft to the terminal building or from the terminal building to the aircraft. You will also drive electric buggies and push wheelchairs when required to assist passengers within the terminal building.

Main Duties:

- Ensure that at all times you maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene and appearance in accordance of WJ Uniforms Standards Policy.
- Ensure PPE is worn at all times when assisting passengers.
- Ensure standards of time keeping, absence, attitude and behaviours are kept to high standards.
- Responsible for reading the daily brief and ensuring up to date with any operational/terminal changes.
- Completion of winter vehicle warm up, including gritting tail lifts to ensure they are safe for use.
- Ensure checks are carried out before the use of any company equipment and correct paperwork completed.
- Providing assistance with cabin baggage onto the aircraft & hold baggage when required.
- Ability to operate and use all company equipment after sufficient training has been given, i.e Hoist's, slings
- Ensure accident process is followed correctly in the event of incident.
- Deliver the highest standard of customer service at all times.
- Ensure that all customers are dealt with politely and efficiently received and assisted with the highest level of customer service in line with EC 1107/2006 and CAP 1411 regulations.
- Be aware of any airport updates (GAN's/GAD's).
- Responsible for reading the daily brief and ensuring up to date with any operational/terminal changes.
- Responsible for reading and signing any WJ documentation when requested.
- Comply with airport bylaws at all times when operating on the airfield.
- Carry out any other reasonable request as required by the Client, Line Manager or Supervisor (including read and signs GADs, GANs, SHEQ updates, Risk Assessments)

Essential Criteria:

- Full Driving licence is essential with categories C & D (Licence must have been held for 2 years)
- You must have had a driving licence for over 4 years
- You must be able to obtain and airside driving permit (Including passing a driving medical with a colour blind test)
- Be able to operate the following shifts patterns include: early starts, late finishes, nights, weekdays, weekends and bank holidays
