**What You Will Do** **as a Ramp Trainer**

Being a Ramp Trainer, you will be responsible for planning and delivery of all ramp training to meet and exceed the mandated standards required by the client and Wilson James. This includes delivering familiarisation and instruction in the driving of a variety of minibuses and specialist Ambilift vehicles used on the airfield to industry standards. The training and testing of learners to meet the standard required to gain an Airside driving permit and all ramp-based training to carry out the role of the Ramp operative. Maintain training records in accordance with the client (GAL) through their Airdat database system. Actively manage the training programme content in-light of passenger's comment and feedback (as provided by the service standards manager and GAL customer relations). Deliver QNUK qualification set in accordance with Wilson James training plan and training on hoists/slings.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Deliver vehicle and ramp training in accordance with the demands of the operation to ensure sufficient drivers trained to the correct standards across the operation.
- Deliver engaging and timely training to support the business needs, all training delivered is to be supported by the annual training plan.
- Plan training in accordance with qualification authority (QNUK) and mandated operational training. Training to ensure Wilson James LGW remain compliant.
- Facilitate wider operational training (OZION control system/EHS/Terminal electric vehicles).
- Deliver Wilson James Induction training to all new employees.
- Record all training delivered and staff qualification base to ensure all staff receive the mandated training and that each member of staff has a training development profile.
- Maintain the AIRDAT training records on behalf of LGW Wilson James.
- Conduct driver refresher training as required, be prepared to assist in driver incident investigations in support of the EHS Manager.
- Attend training courses relative your role or new equipment.

**Essential**
- Must be familiar with PRM operations at LGW with experience working vehicles in the ramp environment.
- Formal training qualifications.
- Experienced training provider with learning and development qualifications.
- Excellent communicator.
- Ability to plan and execute demanding and engaging training.
- Familiarity with terminal airside operations and AIRDAT.
- Experienced with using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint presentation.
- Gatwick Airside driver permit holder.
- Background in working with people with visible and hidden disabilities.
- HGV licence
- Full Driving Licence
- Training delivery qualification - Level 3 Education & Learning

**Desirable**
- RTITB or equivalent LGV instructor
