The award-winning City of Wolverhampton Council is seeking an enthusiastic Active Ageing Coordinator to join our dynamic and hardworking Public Health, Partnerships team. This one-year fixed term position is an ideal opportunity for an individual who is looking to advance their career and join a thriving and supportive organisation. Based within the Public Health department, you will deliver the Active Ageing programme across the city. The Programme focuses on building and enhancing community capacity in the city for the 55+ age group in terms of physical activity provision in Wolverhampton. The post will increase the number of age and ability suitable physical activity sessions each week across the city, support community clubs and groups to develop their offer, and enhance pathways with the NHS. The post will also oversee, support, and monitor the Active Ageing Care Home programme.

**Our working arrangements**

All council roles are allocated to either a fixed, field or flexible work style. Some roles are agile which enable and empowers employees to maximise their performance and productivity, whilst maintaining a healthy work life balance. Roles with a fixed workstyle work in a fixed permanent council location. Roles with a field workstyle are usually allocation where employees are required to be out working in the community with a minimum requirement for 'touch down' space at any council location. Roles with a flexible workstyle have a flexible base location to meet the needs of the business and employees can work from a mixture of home or any council office, partner/client, or external location, as required to meet service requirements.
