SBHA has a new role available for a driven individual seeking the next step in their administrative career.

The purpose of the Corporate Officer will be to contribute towards efficient and effective business support, providing high-quality, proactive corporate administration and services in various areas to ensure that SBHA meets all statutory obligations and regulatory requirements.

The main responsibilities of the role are outlined below:

- Act as point of contact for information requests relating to General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), Freedom of Information (FOI) and Environmental Information Requests (EIR), coordinating responses in a timely manner and in compliance with statutory requirements
- Maintain schedules and registers relating to GDPR, FOI, EIR, and the Publication Scheme
- Provide corporate administrative duties including corporate filing and record management accurately and efficiently
- Coordinate the preparation of the Association’s key strategic documents, working with the Communications Officer on content preparation
- Undertake projects and specific pieces of work as directed by the Executive Team including, research, analysis and report writing
- Provide office facilities management, including procurement of office furnishings, and externally provided services
- Provide support to review the corporate policies, procedures, and processes
- Play an active role in contributing to effective cross team working/departmental projects and provide cover for the Governance Officer and other colleagues as required
- Contribute to the promotion of the Association in the community and to all external stakeholders and maintain awareness of SBHA’s commitments to Tenant engagement
- Model and promote behaviours consistent with SBHA’s values and standards and observe and continually promote equity, inclusion and diversity
- Flexible in working hours in accordance with business needs and prepared to attend evening meetings and events

Hybrid working between the office and home may be offered for this post where relevant and with prior agreement from the line manager.

On occasion you will be working outside of normal working hours. You may be required to travel within the Scottish Borders area and occasionally beyond.

**Requirements**:
SBHA is looking for a bright and highly organised individual with administrative experience relevant to this work. This role requires someone who will demonstrate initiative, self-motivation and impeccable organisational skills with a genuine interest in supporting the team.

The following experience, knowledge and skills are essential for any applicants:
**Experience**:

- Evidence of continued personal development and prepared to undertake relevant learning as required
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience providing business administration in a fast-paced environment
- Experience of working with senior leaders and members of governing bodies
- Demonstrated experience of researching and writing policy documents, reports, and minutes

**Skills**:

- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to build strong, collaborative internal and external relationships
- Excellent record keeping, minute taking, proof reading, organisation, planning, and quality assurance skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with a ‘can do’ attitude
