**Rate**: £18 - £23

AJ Connect is currently working with a highly regarded housing association to fill the position of Property Officer for an initial contract period of 3-6 months, this has the chance of extension or may even go permanent.

As the Property Officer, your tasks and responsibilities will include:

- Conducting thorough inspections in tenants' homes and communal areas to diagnose necessary repairs and replacements
- Managing contract administration for planned investment projects carried out by external contractors
- Prioritising customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional repairs and maintenance services to tenants
- Ensuring all legislative health and safety requirements are met in tenants' homes
- Collaborating with colleagues to maintain and enhance our estates within the community and liaising with partner agencies to enhance customer experience
- Specifying necessary works for empty homes and ensuring that they are completed to a high standard
- Managing financial and quality control of repairs and replacement elements carried out by both in-house team and external contractors.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, as is experience in social housing or another regulated sector, carrying out property and estate inspections, specifying works, contract supervision, monitoring and quality control.
- A strong knowledge, understanding, and experience of building technology, construction and maintenance, as well as knowledge of relevant legislation for residential dwellings in Scotland, SHQS and EESSH standards.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information to different stakeholders. Proficiency in Word and Excel is necessary, as well as exceptional attention to detail.
- An HND/C or equivalent in Building (or equivalent discipline) or able to demonstrate equivalent through experience.
- A current full UK driving licence
