We are currently looking for an experienced Designated Safeguarding Lead to take responsibility for safeguarding and child protection across the school (including online safety).

You will provide high quality advice and guidance to school leaders and colleagues across the full spectrum of child protection and welfare matters, shaping and embedding systems, policies, and procedures as you go. This will include liaising with relevant agencies such as the local authority children’s services and police.

As such, the role demands an individual with real gravitas; someone who can challenge, support and secure confidence from colleagues in and outside of the school.

Some safeguarding activities may be delegated to deputies, but the DSL will retain ultimate lead responsibility for safeguarding and child protection.

You will also Lead whole school attendance working closely with the Attendance Team Leader.

You will do all this whilst capturing the spirit of our vision and values and whilst role-modelling exceptional professional behaviours.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
