About the Role

As the Lead Safeguarding Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children within our network of schools. You will provide strategic direction and operational leadership to establish a robust safeguarding framework across all institutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive safeguarding policies and procedures that align with best practices and legal requirements.
  • Conduct thorough audits of schools to assess compliance with safeguarding standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) across our network, ensuring they have the knowledge and resources to effectively fulfill their roles.
  • Analyze safeguarding data to identify trends and patterns, informing strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with school leaders and staff to create a culture of safeguarding that prioritizes the safety and well-being of all children.
  • Manage complex safeguarding cases, ensuring they are handled appropriately and effectively.

Key Requirements

  • Possess a minimum of a first-degree qualification in a relevant field.
  • Hold recognized professional qualifications in safeguarding practice.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience in senior leadership roles within the safeguarding domain.
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of safeguarding legislation and best practices.
  • Possess exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
