We are looking for a forward-thinking Payroll Team Leader with an innovative approach to lead the delivery of payroll services in Torfaen County Borough Council including local Community Councils and other external organisations.

You will manage, motivate, and develop a team of Payroll Officers ensuring the delivery of an effective and efficient payroll service.

The role requires you to manage, interpret, and advise on government legislation and Council policy in relation to complex pay and benefits, pensions, and employment queries.

You will contribute to the development and implementation of improvements in IT, workflow, and transactional payroll processes.

As well as excellent management skills, you need excellent communication skills to build good working relationships.
