**Job summary**:
This position will assist the Operations Controller EMEA in supporting our European operations team by providing timely and accurate financial information. This person will develop working relationships with key individuals across the team, with a primary focus on creating sustainable processes, helping to drive value through the supply chain & providing timely information to leadership as required.

**Specific responsibilities**:

- Assist the Financial Controller in preparing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for COGS operations.
- Be part of a team which has multi-site financial responsibility for manufacturing locations in Svangsta, Sweden and Alnwick, UK.
- Be part of a team which has multi-site financial responsibility for distribution locations in Svangsta, Sweden; Cramlington, UK; Zerniki, Poland and Szczecin, Poland.
- Analyse financial data and provide insights to the Finance Controller and Supply Chain Management.
- Ownership of Standard Costs for EMEA and ensure accurate updates for all EMEA locations.
- Responsible for the development of costing of new product offerings from quotations to ‘live’ materials.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Ensure accuracy for all COGS transactions, from Standard Cost through Gross Margin.
- Work alongside the Operations Teams to actively drive Gross to Net productivity savings projects.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and liaise with auditors.
- Provide support to other departments on financial matters.
- Provide backup for the Operations Controller.

**Education, skills, and experience**:

- Newly qualified or part-qualified in a relevant Accounting Qualification.
- A minimum of 2-3 years ‘experience in Accounting, Finance, or a similar role.
- Previous experience in a similar Controller role in a manufacturing or warehousing environment is preferrable.
- Possess strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
- Pro-active mindset alongside critical thinking skills to dive into complex issues.
- Cross-functional teamwork experience, ideally across a multi-site operational environment with the ability to also work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously.
- Self-motivated in achieving goals and completing routine tasks.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships across a variety of languages and cultures.
- English language skills are essential, both written and verbal. An additional language would be highly desirable, particularly Swedish and/or Polish
- Valid passport for travel to Sweden, or Poland.

There is an opportunity to work flexibly from home where needed, and there will also be a potential for quarterly travel to our sites across Europe as needed.
