**Head of Production in CPU ( Food Business )**

We are seeking a skilled Central Kitchen Warehouse Manager to oversee our 8000 sq ft production facility in Bristol, ensuring the efficient operation of our central kitchen and warehouse.

**Job Summary**:
As the Central Kitchen Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the central kitchen and warehouse operations. You will play a critical role in maintaining high standards of food safety, optimizing production processes, and managing inventory and supplies. This position requires strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills, as well as a passion for delivering exceptional food quality and service.

**Responsibilities**:
**Operations Management**:

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the central kitchen and warehouse, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
- Supervise a team of kitchen staff and warehouse personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Monitor production schedules, ensuring timely completion of orders while maintaining quality standards.
- Implement and maintain proper food safety and sanitation practices, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
- Oversee inventory management, including stock levels, ordering, and receiving of ingredients and supplies.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and distribution, to coordinate and optimize workflow.
- Support delivery of our corporate events arm of the business.
- Food & menu development ensuring Eat a Pitta stays at the forefront of the latest food trends in the fast food industry.

**Quality Control and Food Safety**:

- Implement and enforce strict quality control measures, ensuring that all food products meet established standards.
- Monitor and maintain proper storage, handling, and labeling of ingredients and finished products.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and address any food safety concerns.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to food safety and quality assurance.

**Production Efficiency**:

- Continuously evaluate production processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and implementing efficiency-enhancing measures.
- Optimize resource allocation, including labor, equipment, and materials, to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with the kitchen management team to develop and refine recipes, standard operating procedures, and production guidelines.
- Identify opportunities to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance overall productivity without compromising quality.

**Equipment and Maintenance**:

- Coordinate maintenance and repair activities for kitchen equipment, machinery, and warehouse facilities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promptly addressing any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and maximize operational efficiency.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the food industry or a central kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Proficient in inventory management systems and software.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse workforce.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and maintenance procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Food hygiene and safety certifications are highly desirable.
