**About the role**:
You will be working in partnership with Lancashire Constabulary, predominately based at Chorley Police Station and Lancashire Victim Service’s Preston Office. Operation Provide is an innovate pilot initiative aimed at increasing access to services for high risk victims of domestic abuse who may be reluctant or feel unable to engage in support in order to manage their situation and the risks posed to them.

You will be attending to reports of domestic violence/abuse or revisits with police officers to ensure that the victim receives early access to independent information about their options and rights. You will provide bespoke safety planning and work with the police and other agencies to mitigate risks to the victim. Whilst the role is working in partnership with the police, you will be an independent advocate and support the victim to make informed decisions and will hold a small caseload.

You will need:
- An understanding of domestic abuse, risk assessment and risk management preferably with an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor accreditation.
- To be a good communicator and able to build trust and relationships with client demonstrating empathy and understanding.
- The ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and develop multi-agency responses to support and reduce the harm to victims.
- The ability to appropriately challenge and advocate on behalf of victims in order to achieve positive outcomes and reduce the risks posed to victims
- To be flexible, adaptable and highly resilient.
- Full clean driving license and access to a vehicle
- You will need to pass police vetting
