**£100-125k DoE plus car allowance and package**

This role will be of interest to experienced operations individuals in the food industry looking for a large manufacturing environment with pace and complexity.
Reporting into the Operations Director, you will lead the production facility. Food manufacturing is always a fast paced and demanding environment, and this role needs high energy, an eye for detail, agility with numbers and being decisive.
There is a lot to do in the next stage of the strategy for this site and the Head of Manufacturing is integral to those plans. The Operations Director has a progressive and ambitious approach for the business and has built a positive and dynamic culture. To continue developing, building on the good work already done and moving through that next key stage, the site needs a senior operations expert to lead, motivate and drive the team through the process and operational improvements necessary.
The Executive Team in place have made bold changes that have paid off and the future plans are ambitious. Real success has been seen making a difference to every level on the site and the momentum is set to continue in the immediate and long term future of the site and wider business.
**The Head of Operations is responsible for**:
- The leadership of the production function.
- Operating at a strategic and transactional level.
- Management of the operational data highlighting issues and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Working closely with the CI teams and embedding a strong CI culture with the operational leadership team.
- Playing a pivotal role on the Senior Leadership Team and the overall strategic direction of the site.
- Working in close conjunction with the Process and Quality teams to drive and maintain optimum standards to meet customer expectations.
- Driving accountability across the production teams.
- Working cross functionally with technical, supply chain and engineering.
- Being a coach and mentor to the Operations Management Team with robust succession plans in each department.
- The management of all capital projects for the site.
- Ensuring the site meets all statutory obligations with regards to SHE.

- A strong manufacturing background in the food industry - production as a core discipline.
- You thrive in deadline driven environments and have proven achievements to display.
- Your leadership ability and general presence on the shop floor is evident and tangible.
- Excellent numeracy skills, able to bring factory data to life for your team.
- Proven successful leadership of production teams, understanding what needs to be done, to plan effectively and react correctly when needed to meet the daily plans and avoid surprises.
- Ambitious with high energy - you enjoy a deadline driven environment.
- Clear decision making based on numerical data.
- An accountable, motivational management style.

**Salary**: £100,000.00-£125,000.00 per year
