Mendip Vale Medical Group are looking for a confident, caring individual to join our HR Admin Officer Team.

The post holder will be expected to undertake adminstration duties, produce reports, attend relevant meetings and have a good knowledge of HR processes, as well as working alongside the wider Administration Officer team to provide administrative and project support across the group as required.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all tasks are completed in a profitable, efficient, safe and effective manner. The post-holder will effectively communicate with the wider team, bringing to life new ways of working through innovation.

As an Administration Officer will develop good working relationships with:

- Patients and Service Users
- GP, nurses and other surgery staff
- Other providers who work with the Surgery

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To support the Management Team in the delivery of safe, efficient and cost effective responses to patients, employees, service users and customer requirements.
- Accurately maintain records and share up to date information within the your specified work area.
- Provide administration support to managers with HR responsibilities, being a point of contact for queries and responding appropriately.
- Ensure tasks set by the Management Team are undertaken to required quality standards and in line with information governance and DPA regulations.
- Maintain accurate records for training and compliance.

**Other Responsibilities**:
To understand and support the delivery of performance targets and KPIs across the Group.

To implement agreed strategic and operational plans, ensuring staff resources, work allocation and policies and in place and being adhered to maximise safe and effective ways of working for our staff and patients.

To ensure all key practice policies are followed within your specified area of control, liaising with the relevant managers to address any performance improvements identified.

To assist with the development of the quality strategy for the Group.

To promote support integration of individual surgeries within the wider organisation and the delivery of services underpinned by organisational ethos and values.

To positively support change to the service and structure (as required) within the Group

Support CQC compliance.

To undertake any other duties commensurate with the post holders role as agreed with the line manager.

Ability to receive complex, sensitive or contentious information and process appropriately.

Promote positivity and effective working relationships with commissioners, other health care providers and other key health care providers and other key partners to support an integrated approach to high quality patient care.

**Confidentiality**

In the course of seeking treatment, patients entrust us with, or allow us to gather, sensitive information in relation to their health and other matters. They do so in confidence and have the right to expect that staff will respect their privacy and act appropriately.

Whilst performing the duties outlined in this Job Description, the post-holder may have access to confidential information relating to patients and their carers, surgery staff and other healthcare workers. They may also have access to information relating to the Surgery as a business organisation. All such information from any source is to be regarded as strictly confidential.

Information relating to patients, carers, colleagues, other healthcare workers or the business of the Surgery may only be divulged to authorised persons in accordance with the Surgery policies and procedures relating to confidentiality and the protection of personal and sensitive data.

**Health & Safety**

Maintain the standards required for the health, safety and security knowledge & understanding as defined in the Surgery Health & Safety Policy

Use personal security systems within the workplace according to Surgery guidelines.

Identify the risks involved in work activities and undertaking such activities in a way that manages those risks.

Make effective use of training to update knowledge and skills.

Use appropriate infection control procedures, maintaining work areas in a tidy and safe way and free from hazards.

Report potential & actual risks identified.
