Front of House Supervisor (Part Time)

Reporting to: Events Manager

Statement of responsibilities:
Facilities supervision of the building, whilst the show is open. You will be responsible for opening and preparing the building in time for the guests to arrive through to production break down and locking the premises.

Main duties:

- To have an authoritative working knowledge of the bar and box office should assistance be required.
- To undertake stock takes on a regular basis and report to management if stock needs to be replenished.
- To proactively re stock the bars and waiter station before, during where needed after each show.
- To maintain tills across sales points before and during shows.
- To be responsible for housekeeping whilst working, including emptying bins, maintaining the toilets, general maintenance, auditorium cleaning, catering equipment upkeep and building presentation tasks. To take

responsibility for keeping the bar and waiter station clean, tidy and orderly.
- Whilst dealing with public health issues, to lead in mid event cleans of all front of house touch points, toilets and re-stocking of soaps, paper towels and hand gels.
- To access our box office system to create lists of group bookers who are eligible for complimentary items.
- To set up for the show, including the handling of furniture, catering items, signage etc.
- To be proactive in ensuring the access needs of all our customers are met to the best standards possible within our building.
- To ensure events run to time by liaising with the technical team and performers, make show calls and to give front of house clearance where appropriate.
- To check the security of the building and to lock up the building and set alarms once the building is empty.
- To take part in and occasionally lead regular training sessions along with other members of the team.
- To feedback information as required to the relevant department heads in a timely and appropriate way and as a member of the team, to take on team leadership tasks and routines as necessary.

These duties are not exhaustive, and Front of House Supervisors may be required to perform duties not listed, to the reasonable operational requirements

Person Specification Essential
- Previous experience in a customer care role
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- A love or live theatre and / or cinema
- Great time management
- Experience of working flexibly both as part of a team and alone

Desirable

1-2 years experience in hospitality supervision
- Background in a hospitality environment
- Experience in a FOH role
- Experience in working behind a bar

Hours: The role will involve working weekends and evenings. Flexibility is important.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-30 per week

**Salary**: From £11.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Every weekend
- Night shift
- Weekends only
