**About us**
West Sussex Federation of Women's Institutes (WSFWI) is one of 65 Federations that make up the National Federation of Women's Institutes across England and Wales.
There are currently 94 WIs in West Sussex villages and towns all very different, some with a large membership and others smaller. We also have an **Online** WI where meetings are held on Zoom. We have a new federation office due to open in the summer in Horsham which will provide meeting spaces and an adminstration centre for the Federation. The Federation is managed by a Board of Trustees who own and deliver the strategy for the Federation that focuses on building and delivering a Federation that is 'bold and inspiring', 'inclusive', 'growing and relevant' and 'flexible' for all our members.
The working environment is busy, friendly, and supportive.
Job Summary:
**Key responsibilities**:
Ensure all company and charity law requirements are fulfilled by the Federation.
Manage the federation office.
Support the Chair of the Board of Trustees and ensure the board functions effciently and effectively.
Manage the organisation of the Federation Annual Meeting.
Facilitate good communications for WSFWI between Trustees, Teams and members.
Oversee the production of the West Sussex Federation magazine and other communications for media channels.
Manage contracts held by WSFWI and liaise with the Federation Treasurer on finance matters.
**Requirements**:
Proven experience in an administrative or secretarial role is preferred
Highly proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft 365 Suite ( Office, sharepoint, one drive) is essential.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to influence and engage a range of audiences, both one to one and in groups.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
Excellent organisational and planning skills, expereince of managing projects and events desirable.
Proficient at producing work to deadlines, including ensuring others deliver on time.
Numerate, skilled working with spreadsheets and reports.
Ability to manage own workload and time, and organise the work of others.
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time and multiple tasks effectively.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
