Full time permanent role

Mon - Fri 0900-1700

35 hours per week but would also consider part time at 25 plus hours per week for the right person

Haywards Heath - office and home based (after training period). Parking on-site can be limited on occasions but office is close walking distance from mainline station / bus routes.

**Salary**: £28000 for full time permanent plus good staff benefits

We are delighted to be assisting our very specialist and highly thought of charity based client as they seek to recruit a Helpline and Information Officer to join their team of a full time basis (35 hours per week) or part time (25 hours plus per week basis).After the training period there will be opportunities to work from home in this role.

**The role**:
Do you want to help save lives by shaping, developing, and delivering an exceptional Helpline and Information Service?

**Duties and responsibilities**:
Deliver an effective, efficient and safe helpline for charity users and health-care professionals

Develop and deliver information services to health-care professionals, including expanding the current reach of the charity

Contribute to the development of information products about the charity

Ensure accurate and timely data capture and case records to support ongoing service improvements

The portfolio of services overseen by the Helpline & Information Officer may change over time, with other services managed by the Advocacy & Information Manager.

Key aspects include:
Building and developing relationships with health-care professionals

Contributing to developing information and information products regarding the charity

**Person spec / competencies required**:
**Essential**:
Interested in working in information and support services and helpline services, ideally within a charity.

Strong communication and people skills, including providing information to people across various contact methods to deliver a consistent, impactful, high-quality service.

Organised, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.

**Desirable**:
Experience of working in information and support services and helpline services, ideally within a charity.

Good understanding of best practices in safeguarding people and vulnerable adults

Understanding of diversity and inclusion in information services.

Experience in customer support or helpdesk software
