**Job description**:
The Group Infrastructure Operations (GIO) function within Digital, Data & Technology Services (DDTS) is recruiting an apprenticeship Change and Release Business Administrator to join the Change and Release Management team. The apprenticeship is a combination of formal training courses and workplace-based learning. This opportunity will allow you to get involved in exciting projects for real practical experience whilst gaining professional knowledge.

Within DDTS, the Change and Release Management Team is part the operational IT function known as Group Infrastructure and Operations (GIO). Change and Release Management is responsible for managing changes and releases to operational IT services across the Defra estate, providing governance and expertise to enable changes and releases to be delivered efficiently and effectively with minimum negative impact.

You will be joining a diverse, fun, and nationally dispersed team that aspires to be proactive, professional, and positive in our work. As a team we believe in continuous service improvement and as such there are plenty of opportunities for you to influence our work and get involved in different initiatives.

**Person specification**:
**Responsibilities**
- Organising meeting invites, taking notes, minutes and actions from governance meetings such as Change Advisory Boards
- Managing a shared mailbox of queries and requests. Managing contact and distribution lists. Produce and run reports on change and release management data
- Maintaining change and release logs and documents such as the Forward Schedule of Change and Change Approval Matrix
- Log requests into the integrated IT Service Management toolset (ServiceNow). Provide guidance to stakeholders on logging records in ServiceNow
- Administrator updates to records within ServiceNow such as closing records once completed
- Participate in Continual Service Improvement initiatives and activities across the team

- Excellent people skills with an ability to work in a dispersed environment with a range of stakeholders
- Demonstrable relationship building skills with strong written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks efficiently and manage time to meet deadlines, activities and resources effectively. Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Willingness and commitment to learning and development
