We support children and young people aged between 8-20yrs whilst offering, short, medium and long-term care including respite care. **Your new role**
Duties include;
Residential Care Provision
In the absence of the House Manager, you will deputise for her/him in the management of the house/home.
Financial Management
To be competent at financial planning/management and budgeting for the effective and efficient running of the house/home.
Care Planning
To monitor, track, measure, and evidence outcomes for all young people in a person centred and young person focused way - inclusive and reflective of the young person's input and views.
Stakeholder Engagement
To work positively and effectively with families (where appropriate) of the children and young people we support.
Frameworks, Standards and Legislation
To promote and adhere to the National Standards in relation to Looked After Children.
Education
To take an active interest in and promote each young person's educational development and achievements.
Training and Development
Be a reflective practitioner taking time to reflect on all aspects of practice to learn and grow and continually strive for improvement and development in practice.
Team Contribution
To participate in effective, open, and honest communication with colleagues and managers.
Health and Safety
To report any deterioration in the condition of the premises to the House Manager and arrange for any maintenance work as directed.
**What you'll need to succeed**
Qualified to SVQ 4 Social Services (Children and Young People) SCQF Level 9.
Registered with SSSC
Previous experience of Office 365
Full UK Driving License
Any practice qualifications in the manager category
Experience of working in Residential Childcare settings
Experience and knowledge of working with Care Inspectorate
Experience of deputising for Home Manager
Experience in developing care plans
The ability to talk to large groups
The ability to interact with children of all ages
Has a value base that matches The Community Connections Group
Professional in approachable to role
Team player, but able to work on own initiative and under pressure
Flexibility in approaching work situations
A strong work ethic, high energy, drive and determination
