We are looking for an Associate Schools Developer to join our Creative Learning and Engagement department to lead on the recruitment, development and ongoing relationship management of regional school and theatre partnerships in the RSC's Associate Schools Programme.

The Associate Schools Programme is a long-term partnership programme with 280 schools and 16 theatre partners, in areas of structural disadvantage across England. Within our current 30 partnership clusters of schools and theatres, we reach over 1,000 teachers and approximately 140,000 children and young people every year. This role will work as part of a small, supportive team based within our Creative Learning and Engagement department to provide ongoing relationship management and co-creative development of partner schools and theatres across England.

Reporting to the Associate Schools Programme Senior Manager, key responsibilities will include (see the job description and person specification for the comprehensive list):

- Effectively building and managing relationships with lead schools, supporting their development and responding to their needs
- Managing relationships with school and theatre partnership clusters across England, supporting their ongoing development and quality assuring the experiences of students and teachers
- Building and sustaining successful relationships with teachers theatre partners, and artists
- Ensuring that a commitment to teacher professional development and learning is core and an embedded part of the programme
- Evaluating and monitoring the effectiveness and impact of the programme
- Providing regular reports on the impact of the work with partner schools
- Working within RSC health and safety, data protection and Safeguarding guidelines
- Working with other department members to ensure the smooth running of the programme and to contribute towards large scale events such as the Playmaking Festival
- Working closely with the Young Leaders Programme Developer and Young Theatre Makers Developer to support opportunities and growth in pathways for youth leadership and talent development
- Ensuring that the work is co-created, responding to local context and need.

To be suitable for this role, you must have:

- Significant experience of project working within learning and arts environments
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise a varied workload to achieve deadlines
- A solutions-driven approach to work tasks with the ability to independently and creatively problem solve, as well as working within a close-knit team
- The ability to easily build rapport and good working relationships with the team and wider stakeholders, demonstrating ambassadorial qualities for the department
- Integrity, tact, and patience, especially when under pressure, and to be able to observe confidentiality
- A demonstrable commitment to equity, diversity, justice, and inclusion in your working practice.

This role is perfect for someone with a love of schools, education and the complexity and challenges that this sector brings. Building lasting working relationships and good rapport with teams, creatives and stakeholders should come naturally to you.

This is a full time, permanent role, which requires extensive travel throughout England. Whilst this role is based in Stratford-upon-Avon, there is the opportunity to occasionally work remotely.
