**Job Title**:Production Planner

**Reporting to**:Supply Chain Manager

**Primary Objectives**

To ensure that all orders are planned effectively to maximise capacity across all production suites. Ensure all line speeds and headcounts are planned correctly and monitored against target. Liaise with all departments making sure work is scheduled in an efficient and timely manner.

Provide support to the Customer Service team. Ensure the team complete any daily actions and tasks in full and on time driving towards true service excellence. Working closely with the rest of the management team to drive the business towards world class.

**Role Responsibilities**
- Plan and prepare production schedules for all production suites.
- Host daily, weekly planning meetings and take ownership for forward preparation of these meetings.
- Owning the demand and forecast planning process across all customers and variants.
- Liaise with Customer Services to ensuring the plan is full and report where necessary when capacity is not reached considering customer promised dates and planned production dates.
- Produce daily values as a measure of performance and display daily KPI’s in production.
- Creates master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet sales forecasts and customer orders.
- Analyse production capacity and performs calculations to determine true process time and resource required.
- Prepares production planning monthly reports showing accuracy of the plan, Units, Value, requested completion date all tracked and monitored.
- Optimising production efficiencies across planning schedules
- Identifying opportunities for process change, communicating these ideas and implementing effectively.
- Trend and performance analysis of manufacturing suites.

**Relationships**:
The position reports directly into the Supply Chain Manager. The role also has strong working relationships with Quality, commercial, warehouse, procurement, and customer services.

**Success Criteria**:
The Production Controller’s success will be measured on the monthly value/units measured in accordance the customer confirmed completion dates based on planned production cost and units versus actual production cost and units.
