Leo Docherty MP is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced full-time Senior Constituency Assistant based in Aldershot, Hampshire.

Duties Include
- Developing and executing a plan for constituency-based activities, including campaigns and projects with the support of the wider team
- Leading a small team of staff based at the constituency office, and supervising a varied and sometimes complex local caseload
- Maintaining strong relationships with public, private, and charitable organisations locally; ensuring a strong stakeholder engagement plan is in place
- Raising profile of MP’s activities through the production of high-quality and creative content for social media channels, website, and external communications
- Overseeing constituency diary on behalf of the MP
- Administration of constituency office

Skills and Values
- Possess strong written and oral communication and organisational skills, with a keen attention to detail, and ability to think outside the box
- Hardworking, flexible, and a good team player
- Ability to anticipate problems and resolve them
- Ability to manage, prioritise and delegate a demanding workload under pressure, and work to tight deadlines
- Ability to work in a sensitive and confidential manner at all times
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office and Outlook, and the ability to work across a growing number of social media platforms
- Good grasp of current affairs - locally and nationally
- Sympathetic to the aims and values of the Conservative Party
- Knowledge of the Aldershot constituency and surrounding areas
