Radar Recruitment are exclusively working with a large, multi-site organisation based near Orpington, supporting them in their search for a newly created Financial Accountant role. Having worked with this client successfully on numerous occasions we cangenuinely say there is a unique opportunity here for someone who is looking to step up from an Assistant Accountant or Junior Finance Manager role into a more autonomous position. This is a key role within the finance department and the organisation. Working closely with and reporting to the Finance Manager you will be leading all the operational finance functions such as AP, AR, Direct Debit as well as overseeing the financial controland supporting statutory obligations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Financial control overview
- Supervision of the entirety of the Purchase Ledger & Invoiced Ledger and related Credit control
- Treasury function including Bank Reconciliations
- VAT returns and ownership of Gateway and liaison with HMRC
- Financial aspect of Asset Management and monthly depreciation
- Supporting the Cashflow management and forecasting
- Work closely with the payroll bureau and HR department to ensure payroll integrity and accuracy
- Ownership of all statutory payments and reconciliations
- Select Balance sheet reconciliations
- Execute and reconcile intercompany accounting
- Perform/ support statutory reporting and forms
- Support the annual Audit performed by a firm of external Auditors
- Line management of two accounts assistants
- To manage projects as required to support organisational change and deliver process improvement.
- Work closely with the Finance Manager in order to ensure that key priorities of the department are met to a high standard and within the deadlines
- As may be required, provide support within other team functions which can range from financial analyses, through balance sheet recs, through income recognition to training and procedure writing

**Profile**:

- Accounting Technician (AAT), or part-qualified/actively studying (ACCA, CIMA) QBE to be considered
- Highly motivated self-starter with resilience and determination and the ability to see jobs through to completion;
- Being a positive, motivated, proactive, enthusiastic and professional person
- Similar, varied accounting experience
- Being able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- People management skills
- Ability to work efficiently and to a high standard in a fast paced, challenging environment
- Strong communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
