We are recruiting a full-time Case Youth Worker, who understands what it takes to motivate and encourage young people so they can live independently through tailored support.

**What You will be Doing**

Acting as a role model, you understand that the young people you are supporting could have difficult days. You will provide a caring, supportive, and nurturing environment in which they can feel secure and safe from harm.

Building positive relationships with young people, you will support to address any difficulties, liaise with families or health professionals, support to retain or obtain accommodation, and promote independent living skills, e. g budgeting, employment, cooking, cleaning, and self-care ensuring people reach their full potential.

You will be required to attend meetings, update case notes, support plans, outcomes, action plans and risk assessments, of which full training will be provided. There is also an element of phone support you will need to provide to cover the on-call service, which is paid on top of your salary and training is provided.

The role will support our clients in Buckinghamshire. Therefore a drivers licence and access to a vehicle is essential, mileage and travel time is paid.

This role is permanent with a salary scale from £22,675 to £25,380 per annum, working 37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday with some flexibility required on occasion to support the needs of the young people.

**What you will need**

You’re an empathetic person, who understands sometimes all people need is for someone to listen, you have patience in motivating people to achieve their goals and are adaptable to situations that can change. You also have no problem getting stuck in, taking part in activities, and supporting people to access resources and events.

You will have experience of working with either young people, mental health, or complex needs, good knowledge of using IT systems to keep up-to-date records. Ideally, you will have knowledge of support planning, developing action plans and risk assessments, however full training will be provided.
