**Payroll Finance Assistant**
A great opportunity for an experienced Payroll Finance Assistant to join a business located in Long Eaton. The successful Payroll Finance Assistant will be joining a company with a highly innovative product that is at a key stage of growth and investment.
The Payroll Finance Assistant will be performing a key role in assisting to shape the finance function as the business expands. Undertaking a wide variety of payroll and account duties you will directly contribute to the overall success of this exciting growing business.
**The right Payroll Finance Assistant will**:
Have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience working in an accounts office environment Have a genuine love for working with numbers
Be IT literate and good working knowledge of Excel.
Experience of Xero would be an advantage but is not essential
**Duties for the Payroll Finance Assistant will include but not limited to**:
Assisting with the monthly payroll for the hourly and salaried employees
Purchase ledger, entering, checking and correcting invoices
Supplier account reconciliations
Bank reconciliations, postings and balancing accounts
Maintaining spreadsheets in Excel
Assisting with stock management, interacting with the operational teams for checks.
Uploading daily sales information, reconciling income types and dealing with banking.
Prepayment and accrual month end journal creation and entry
Assisting with month-end and year-end processes as and when required
Additional general office administration duties including, office supplies, answering calls, scanning, filing, etc.
**Personal skills needed**:
Trustworthy with a high degree of personal integrity
Computer literate with some knowledge of basic office IT systems
Good verbal communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
High degree of numerical accuracy with a natural ability to spot errors
Methodical with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work without supervision when required
Preference will be given to someone who can demonstrate an understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles either through experience or perhaps through some study towards a recognised accounts qualification.
**Hours and Salary**
Full time 37.5 hrs pw
Monday - Friday
£26000pa (Full Time)
