The Gastroenterology Endoscopy Office are looking for an Administrative Assistant on a full-time basis.
This is an extremely busy department responsible for booking of all the gastroenterology procedures.
Your main responsibilities will be ensuring all patients are booked within target dates, answering the telephone and dealing with all inquiries ensuring that all patient notes are available.

The hours of work are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. You will be required to think on your feet and be able to use your own initiative.
To answer telephone queries from patients, GPs, clinicians and other members of staff and take action or escalate to Endoscopy Admin Manager when required.
Using Trust systems to update patients to the appropriate waiting list for endoscopy procedures. Maintain databases and spreadsheets that support the clinical services and aid capacity planning of the Endoscopy theatre schedules.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring capacity within theatres is maximised by rescheduling cancelled patients and refilling slots with suitable patients, prioritising within the patient pathways.
Liaise with Endoscopy nurses, clinicians and GPs to provide a good quality patient service
Ensure patient records and theatre schedules are available for endoscopy appointments.
Assist with the ordering and maintenance of stationery supplies.
To maintain strict confidentiality at all times in relation to any information which may be in connection with patients attending for appointments.
To provide clerical cover across the Directorate as required.
To be flexible to the needs of the Trust and undertake any appropriate administrative duties
The role requires you to have a current right to work in the UK, which enables you to undertake the role without need of sponsorship. Under current UK immigration rules this role is not eligible for sponsorship and it is not possible for the Trust to sponsor applicants for a visa for this role.
