**About the Role**:
The Community Connector works across Turning Tides’ with a focus to connect and embed our organisation and clients within the local community and to bring key services from the local community into services.

The role involves building integrated networks and trusted working relationships with voluntary and statutory organisations, health providers, businesses, and community stakeholders within the locality. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with colleagues, clients and volunteers to develop new volunteering roles and opportunities to support the organisation to end local homelessness.

The post holder with have a talent for developing relationships, both within the organisation and within the local community, with the ability to match community skills with operational needs.

This role would suit an engaging, self-motivated, individual with strong communication and organisational skills, who would enjoy being part of a forward thinking and innovative team and enjoys a job where no two days are the same.

**Desirable Attributes**:

- **Community Knowledge**: Deep familiarity with West Sussex communities and voluntary sector organisations.
- **Volunteer Coordination**: Proven experience in working alongside volunteers and supporting volunteer-led services, including developing role descriptions and matching volunteer skillsets to roles.
- **Homelessness Expertise**: Good understanding of the issues surrounding homelessness and the necessary support for vulnerable individuals with multiple and complex needs.
- **Relationship Building**: Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining working relationships and partnerships with local businesses, organisations, and further education providers.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent active listening and communication skills to foster healthy and constructive relationships with colleagues, clients, and volunteers.
- **Administrative Competence**: High proficiency in computer literacy and effective use of systems like Volunteero and Donorfy for accurate record-keeping and reporting.
- **Flexibility and Resilience**: Resilient and confident in handling difficult situations with a clear understanding of personal boundaries and safety.

- £16,078 per annum (FTE £26,797)
