Southdown is delivering a package of services across Brighton and Hove providing support to people with a range of mental health needs. Staying Well is an innovative new service offering out of hours support to people experiencing acute distress due to theirmental health difficulties. The service follows a crisis café model and is a model that we already deliver within East Sussex. The service will be staffed by a mix of paid Recovery Advisors and Peer Workers.

Southdown are looking to recruit a Peer Worker to support our recovery team. As a team you will be delivering high quality support to individuals accessing the service, supporting people to manage their emotional distress, and working to get people linkedin with wider networks of support to aid in their recovery. As a Peer workeryou will have experience of working in a peer support role within a mental health setting. All roles will involve working until 11p.m. at night and will include weekend working ona rotational basis. This role will be based at our existing Recovery Service in Brighton.

You will be closely supported in your role by the Staying Well management team. Full training and induction will be given.
