Job Description Summary

We have a great opportunity to work within the recently formed Trade Controls Office, sitting within our Commercial & Institutional Banking division (CIB).

Our team is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations relating to Trade Controls across a variety of market products (e.g. for regulated derivative trading, bond markets, money markets) and proactively lead the risk and control framework across the Ring Fenced Bank and Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets (Non-Ringfenced Bank - through a shared service), in the first line of defence.

**Job Description**:
We're looking for a new Associate Director to pro-actively work on the improvement and automation of relevant trade controls through strategic programmes and use data analytics to support decisions. You'll assist with providing assurance to Senior Management that we're delivering on Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) commitments in relation to Trade Controls. This is a new area for the bank and an exciting opportunity to join a team in its early stages.

What you'll be responsible for:
- Supporting the recently appointed Trade Controls Officer and playing a key role in the PRA Trade Controls Programme on behalf of the Ringfenced Bank and Non-Ringfenced Bank.- Supporting LBG’s integrated market products trading supervisory system- Working with the development team to embed new controls within the platform and identify improvements to existing- Utilise your experience from your previous roles to deliver improvements in Trade Controls either through preventative or automated controls, through the use of data, technology and automation- Working with the Trade Controls Officer to ensure compliance with Trade Control regulations- Plan and carry out assessments concerning mapping of key processes and controls across Front, Middle and Back Office- Understand root cause and mitigating actions for material events/events and incidents- Assist on regulatory engagement with the Prudential Regulation Authority on Trade Control matters- Provide inputs on progress reporting for the Trade Controls Steering Committee and other internal committees, providing Senior Management with confidence that our trade controls are operating effectively.- Work on improving RCSA data on Trade Controls front to back, including improvements to controls and risk reduction pathways.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Experience in leading on and/or improving Trade Controls either in Front or Middle and Back Office- Financial Market products and/or risk and control experience- Awareness of risks and controls associated with Trade Controls.- Knowledge of key relevant legal, regulatory, operational and statutory requirements- Good knowledge of current and emerging technologies, products and services offered by LBG businesses and a good understanding of our customer and operational risk profile.- Ability to use a wide range of analytical tools and techniques, supported by relevant experience to make clear recommendations and provide solutions to business needs- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to work with people at all levels
