**About The Role**

**Job Overview**

As Activities Assistant, you will schedule and coordinate events, create and handle the logistics for daily, weekly, and monthly events in an effort to engage our residents. We require you to get feedback, manage employees, volunteers and resources, and deliver fun, safe events while on time and under budget.

**About you**

As an Activities Coordinator, your day will be varied. We would like you to develop meaningful occupational therapies, deliver engaging sessions and support events and outings with the residents to ensure that their quality of life is enhanced. You will be responsible for organising a programme of appropriate, therapeutic, and recreational activities which may include craft classes, music, films, quizzes, bingo, reminiscence and entertainment.ts. You should be observant, driven, creative, and caring. You should also have good knowledge using Social Media.

**Responsibilities and Duties of the Job**
- You will organise and plan activity programmes reflecting the service users preferences
- Produce newsletter to inform residents and their relatives/friends what is going on
- Support the residents to access internet and communication such as letter writing, Skype, and FaceTime
- Plan events within the homes allocated budget
- Ensure the residents are at the heart of events and programs to enhance their wellbeing
- Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the individuals you are supporting
- Working with Others Develop effective working relationships with other employees within the service
- Work in cooperation with members of the multi-disciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for people in the service
- Lead by example and seek opportunities for personal and professional growth
