PECIALIST CLINICAL/PRACTITIONER PSYCHOLOGIST - PAIN MANAGEMENT

37.5 HOURS PER WEEK:

- 0.6 WTE permanent
- 0.4 WTE initially 3 year fixed term, with expectation of this moving to permanent Liverpool John Moores University contract after this review period.

This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic Clinical/Practitioner Psychologist interested in a dual role within pain management, comprising specialist clinical and research duties working alongside passionate and highly experienced professionals.

The post holder will be working clinically at The Walton Centre Pain Management Programme (PMP) Department for 0.6 WTE delivering clinical assessment, group sessions on the PMP, providing individual treatment and contributing to service development alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team. The remaining 0.4 WTE will be based at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) in a research capacity with academic focus on delivering research projects, writing for publication, teaching and engaging with the wider research team as well as external networks to facilitate new collaborations. This will also include the opportunity to link with strong interdisciplinary research programmes at Liverpool University and the Pain Relief Foundation. The two job parts are joined up so that the research projects will typically involve patients seen at the Walton Centre pain clinics.
