**Job summary**:
Each year a third of the Defence budget is spent on Support. The Defence Support Organisation sits at the heart of providing support to the UK's Armed Forces. This 650-strong organisation works with both civilian and military personnel across Defence and exists to ensure that wherever Defence is operating, it can outpace, outwit and where necessary out-fight its adversaries. We provide logistic and engineering support to UK Armed Forces at home and abroad and have a broad remit spanning from planning to operational delivery. We are also driving a results-orientated transformation agenda to modernise Defence's logistic and engineering support services and contributing towards the Defence strategy to meet the UK Government goal of Net Zero 2050.

**Job description**:
Defence Supply Chain Operations and Movements (DSCOM) is a 1* Military Headquarters within the Joint Support 2* area of the Defence Support organisation. DSCOM is a joint organisation comprising a mix of military, civilian and contractor staff based mainly at MOD Abbey Wood, Bristol. The role of DSCOM Resource and Data Manager will work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to manage accurate establishment data with regards to DSCOM workforce, both civilian and military. The role will work with the Resource Capability Manager to ensure people and workforce matter are managed and continuously improved.
The role requires attention to detail, excellent communications skills, the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and good knowledge of Office 365.
**Person specification**:
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to;
- Manage the DSCOM Workforce Establishment data tool and Organisation Charts.
- Working with the Resource Capability Manager and wider team, advise against policy guidance to DSCOM personnel on people and establishment matters.
- Manage the Joiner and Leavers process, including the DSCOM Induction guidance and processes.
- Liaising with superior and supporting organisations to allow work force planning/resource managers accurate forecasts of starters and leavers are captured.
- Support DSCOM Recruitment activity for Civilian and FTRS campaigns, understanding approval processes and policy to allow DSCOM to recruit the appropriate people, in a timely manner, in line with the correct policy against each Service/Civilian process.
- Support the Resource Capability Manager and wider team in presenting data for Management Boards, Financial Planning and forecasting or other appropriate platforms.
- Oversee the completion of the DSCOM Duty Personnel Rota, ensuring those on Duty are provided with the appropriate information.
- Understand establishment amendment process for both Military and Civilian to support the Resource Capability Manager.
- Undertake additional tasks as directed by the Resource Capability Manager to support DSCOM and its people.
