Our Stoke Community Drug and Alcohol service are looking for a Young Persons Worker to join them in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse client group. If you are an enthusiastic and creative individual and are passionate about changing people’s lives for the better, we’d love to hear from you.

As a Young Persons Worker, you'll be supporting a caseload of young people aged 18 - 25 who are experiencing difficulties with substance misuse. You'll work with them to assess their needs, develop care plans, deliver a variety of treatments and refer them to other specialist support when needed. You will develop plans with your clients to help them get their lives back to where they want them to be.

You'll also be proactively engaging with young people to provide them with the support, training, education and guidance they need to better understand the implication of the situations they may face and the decision they may take.

There will be assessments to carry out and records you need to keep and update, that's all part of our professional commitment and service to our clients and commissioners.

This position is full time and permanent with a salary of £23,821.35 - £28,000 per annum. Please note a driving licence and access to a vehicle is required to undertake this role.

**REQUIRED SKILLS**:
You will work as part of a team with the aims of:

- understanding your clients
- keeping them safe
- creating a plan they can achieve with your support
- checking in with them and reviewing their progress
- keeping accurate and timely records of your contact with them
- working effectively with other social care providers e.g. Housing, to cover all aspects of their successful recovery
- continuously learning and reflecting to improve the outcomes for your clients
- supporting your colleagues across the service to deliver excellent care
