**WHAT TO EXPECT**

As part of the Technical Specialist community, you will be a functional resource for the company. This role includes developing the future company strategy for processes, components and systems for the corrosion specialism. You will be a custodian of elements of our key technology for current and future products. You will be expected to teach, mentor and present at conferences.

**Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities**
- Develop a business aligned vision for technical delivery of the corrosion attribute.
- Technical leadership to drive function, quality, cost or timing improvements on programmes.
- Establish and deploy best technical practice. Knowledge transfer in terms of formal training, and mentoring. Champion training and development in corrosion prevention.
- Thorough understanding of both internal and external customer attribute and technology requirements.
- Development of process and reports to ensure consistent and robust delivery of the corrosion attribute.
- Support task force activities to solve complex engineering problems.
- Expected to teach, mentor and present internally and externally.
- Charged with promoting systems engineering into the company.

**WHAT YOU WILL NEED**

**Essential**:

- In-depth knowledge and technical expertise in the field of corrosion.
- Analytical skills including the ability to conduct complex research into new methods, tools and processes.
- Experience of delivery within an AGILE operating model
- Ability to effectively explain complex ideas, confidently presenting these to senior stakeholders.
- Will be required to go through the Technical Specialist recruitment process as detailed in Technical Specialist Handbook.

**Desirable**:

- Experience of integrated whole vehicle corrosion test methods.
