An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Dietitian to work within the acute dietetic team at the West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven.

This post will provide a Band 5 Dietitian with the opportunity to develop skills in a wide range of clinical dietetics, including the opportunity to gain experience in several specialities including renal, stroke & rehab, gastroenterology and paediatrics. In addition to acute ward caseload the post includes a general out-patient clinics, resource development and liaising with the catering team. There will also be opportunities for group education of staff, including ‘MUST’ training.

The department provides regular 1:1 and group practice/clinical supervision. Professional development is given a high priority and there are ongoing educational opportunities. The department trains student dietitians Chester University, Newcastle University and University of Central Lancashire.
