**We are excited to be recruiting for the role of Support Coordinator for Society Matters cic, the trading subsidiary of Citizens Advice Gateshead.**

**The role and what you’ll be doing**

Society Matters cic is the trading subsidiary of the award-winning charity Citizens Advice Gateshead and contributes towards the delivery of the charity’s mission to mobilise knowledge so the system works through the design and delivery of unique social welfare training and consultancy services. As a result of the ongoing success the demand for our training services is growing.

**Society Matters will be delivering a new project called ‘Career Kickstart’ geared to helping people progress towards employment.**

The project will specifically look to provide intensive, holistic support to economically inactive Gateshead residents, understanding their current situation, aspirations and barriers they are facing to move back into the workplace. We have a fabulous range of project activities that we want people to get involved in through the ‘Career Kickstart’ project, from deep person-centered advice, through to employability training and telephone skills training.

As the Support Coordinator, you will provide comprehensive support to the outreach coordinator and economically inactive residents who are enrolled on the Career Kickstart Project.

You will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the participant experience to achieve positive outcomes and ensure the project's success. You will assist participants to overcome barriers to employment, facilitating skill development, and ensuring a smooth transition into sustainable employment.

The post holder will be a compassionate and proactive individual who can work collaboratively with participants, external stakeholders and colleagues.
