The Role

At Hain Daniels we are currently recruiting for a temporary Accounts Payable Assistant at our site based in Leeds. The role is based at our Head Office and is where our support functions are located.

The purpose of the role is to deliver a strong service to be business by delivering the accounts payable standards to satisfy all our suppliers.

Key Responsibilities - You will be responsible for
- Proving timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices to agreed terms for the group, ensuring they comply with all UK VAT regulations.
- Reconciliation of supplier statements, resolving balancing items with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Resolution of price and quantity queries with buyers prior to payment.
- Investigation of open cash balances on purchase ledger.
- Working towards/achieving personal and team KPI’s.
- Delivering all daily and month end deadlines.
- Adherence to internal processes and controls in order to achieve and maintain SOX compliance
- Reconciliation of supplier statements for your division on a periodic basis, ensuring all copies are requested and processed prior to payment runs
- Completion of accrual logs to allow site finance to appropriately record month end liabilities
- Liaising with site and Master Data Controller to assist with new supplier account set up in order to process and pay invoices on time.
- Regular review and resolution of debit balances on the purchase ledger.
- Preparing, reviewing and ensuring the approval of the group payment runs, on a bi monthly and ad-hoc basis

What you will need for the role / what it will take
- Attention to detail - a keen eye for following processes and standards
- Experience of purchase ledger ideally within the retail or manufacturing industry
- Working knowledge of a ERP system (Enterprise Resource Planning)
- Intermediate skill set using Excel / Word / Microsoft Office
- Experience of preparing and reviewing payment runs across a number of currencies and payment methods
