**Overview**

Novo Technologies has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality) Site assurance auditor to be part of a team delivering a fibre to the home telecommunications network within the North East.

This work will involve installation and excavations in the public highways, footways, and private land. Installation of fibre optic cables in new and existing highways, duct work, fibre optic cable installation in public and private buildings and street cabinet installations.

The SHEQ site assurance auditor will be part of our compliance team and provide focus in all areas of our project assurance auditing processes, ensuring we achieve regulatory, legislation and customer compliance service level, KPI and legal requirements.

You will be responsible for preparing and carryout out site audits with the North East, promoting the company’s positive attitude towards health safety wellbeing environmental and quality culture, coordinating and supporting the business in fulfilling its Construction design management regulatory and other statutory duties.

You will be headquartered within our main office in Newcastle upon Tyne however you will be expected to dedicate the majority of your time within the field auditing street works construction sites.

Audit check lists and schedule of works are made available electronically to you. Following your audits, you will prepare reports on levels of compliance and raise corrective actions as required.

You may be required to participate in the recommendation of changes in policies, procedures and working practices, help monitor the review and revision of SHEQ policies & procedures to ensure continued compliance with all legal and other relevant requirements in conjunction with members of operational support teams.

- Ensuring compliance with GDPR and Cyber essential duties
- **Responsibilities**:

- Undertake weekly Health Safety Environmental site assurance audits of no less than 50% of the deployed Gangs.
- Undertake weekly Quality site assurance and sampling audits for:

- Street works Civils and Reinstatement
- Overhead and underground cabling
- Cabinets & Chambers
- Monitor and ensure that the compliance audit programme is completed to plan; that the findings of audits are documented; and those non-conformances/actions are assigned to relevant managers and staff.
- Read, understand and comply with client technical standards and Guidance documents.
- Monitor and ensure the timely completion of non-conformances/actions arising from SHEQ compliance audits
