The University of Greenwich has an excellent opportunity for an keen, self-motivated information compliance professional to support the University’s compliance with data protection, freedom of information and digital accessibility legislation, including responding to freedom of information and data protection requests, providing advice and guidance, developing and maintaining policies, procedures and guidance, and other tasks under the direction of the Legal Advisor (Information Compliance and Contracts).

You should have a working knowledge of data protection and freedom of information and experience of implementing compliance, however more crucial is energy, enthusiasm and an adaptability and willingness to learn and develop further in this area. You should be proactive, flexible and able to work collaboratively within a supportive team, and have a genuine commitment to our values of being inclusive, collaborative and impactful.

The role includes co-ordinating actions to ensure the University’s compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), working closely with other areas of the University. You will also work with the University’s network of Records Co-ordinators to maintain the University’s records management programme.

As a member of our compliance team you will be expected to be able to work diligently and with integrity, including when working autonomously.

You must have excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multi task and manage competing deadlines whilst remaining calm and focussed.
