Job Description: HR Officer (Temporary to Permanent)

Location: Greenwich, United Kingdom
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Officer to join our team at a secondary school in Greenwich. As an HR Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the school's human resources functions, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and providing efficient and effective HR services to staff members. This is a temporary to permanent position, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of the school community.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to staff members on HR policies, procedures, and employment-related matters.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and best practices.
- Coordinate and administer employee benefits, such as leave entitlements, pensions, and healthcare schemes.
- Support the performance management process, including conducting appraisals and assisting with the implementation of performance improvement plans.
- Assist in the resolution of employee relations issues, conducting investigations and providing advice on disciplinary and grievance procedures.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and line managers to identify training and development needs, coordinating relevant training programs.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in employment legislation and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a positive and inclusive working environment.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working in HR, preferably within an educational setting, is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with staff members at all levels.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Proficient in using HR information systems and other relevant software.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential.

Please note that this is a temporary to permanent position, with the potential for a permanent contract based on performance and availability. The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm

**Salary**: £14.00-£19.49 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

- Human resources: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
