The Role

You will be tasked with delivering results that make significant contribution to department or project delivery. You will engage with your teams performance which is reflected in annual GPTW survey. As a leader you should be able to work effectively in all areas of the logistics department; ensuring all processes upholds Bigham’s brand values and sustains customer expectations of quality, whilst working to eliminate wastage, exceed throughput targets and meet legal, GMP and H&S requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver daily team brief and ensure a great start of each shift

Seek feedback from the team and ensure responses are followed through in a timely manner

Lead and manage areas assigned, including breaks, labour and holiday request.

RTW forms completed and support with creating rota’s/planning holiday

Communicate with other Team Leaders and Team Managers as appropriate to safeguard timely delivery of daily plan

Ensure effective communication with our suppliers, customers, and between departments within Bigham’s to maintain the flow of the production kitchen

Ensure H&S standards are maintained by completing H&S walk rounds

Be responsible for contacting engineering should any breakdowns occur in a timely manor

All activities comply to GMP and 5S standards, incorporating GMP walk rounds

In the event of any issues, make sure they are contained and escalated to the shift manager.

Actively engage in problem solving activities, identifying and escalating issues

Identify areas for improvement

Use of IT system to manage stock levels and delivery times, manage supplier and customer documentation.

Give regular feedback to the team through team briefs and designate jobs / roles

Complete RTW’s, paperwork, filing and delivery notes, making sure everything is up to date

Make sure all correct procedures are followed as to SOP

Ensure Health and safety is being followed in your area

Ensure priority sheet is followed

Highlight, communicate and resolve any daily issues with the relevant people

Work with your team trainer to create a training plan for your team including succession planning and refresher training

Complete Progress and Probation reviews on time with SMART objectives
