We are currently seeking Groups and Meetings Reservation agents who will work within one of our major hotel contracts.

**Job Summary**:
As a Groups and Meetings Reservations Agent, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for guests who plan group events and meetings at our client's hotels. Your exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and passion for providing outstanding customer service will be essential in managing reservations and coordinating group bookings efficiently.

**Responsibilities**:

- Handle inbound inquiries from clients, assisting them in planning group events and meetings at our client's hotels.
- Provide accurate and timely information regarding availability, rates, and special requests for group bookings.
- Assist clients in selecting suitable meeting spaces, accommodation options, and any additional services required.
- Collaborate with various internal departments, including sales, and operations, to ensure all aspects of group bookings are coordinated effectively.
- Process group reservations, ensuring accuracy in room allocations, rates, and billing details.
- Maintain and update reservation systems and databases with relevant information and notes.
- Monitor and manage room blocks, ensuring reservations are in line with contractual agreements.
- Assist in creating detailed event orders and distributing them to the appropriate hotel departments.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, promptly addressing any inquiries, changes, or concerns throughout the reservation process.
- Collaborate with the hotel sales team to identify opportunities for upselling and maximizing revenue from group bookings.
- Stay updated on hotel offerings, promotions, and special packages to provide accurate information to clients.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in reservations, event planning, or a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to effectively manage multiple reservations and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues at all levels.
- Proficiency in using reservation systems and software, with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
- A customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service experiences.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

**Office opening hours**:
Monday to Friday 09:00 to 18:00, Saturday 10:00 to 16:00. (Bank Holidays 10.00-4.00)

**Hours of work**:
40 hours per week over five days

**Flexibility**
Due to the nature of the business, a degree of flexibility is required, and the post holder may be required to perform certain tasks not specifically referred to above.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £24,336.00 per year
